PAYMAYA TO RFID: how to Reload Autosweep & Easytrip

While our railway system is still limited and expansion plans are still developing, using the expressway is still the best choice for faster travel by land between Metro Manila and the provinces. Unlike highways, expressways have controlled entrances and exits, and in the case of the Philippines, are marked by toll gates.

Starting 1 December 2020, all expressways / tollways are bought by the department of transportation to transition to a cashless payment system by means of RFID. This indicates that owners and operators need to safe RFID accounts for their vehicles, public or private. This will minimize the transmission of viruses and other contagious diseases that can be spread through human contact.

La Trinidad Strawberry Farm: Heart-shaped Madness in Benguet, Philippines

Strawberries may be heart-shaped but these sweet little things are heartless. I walked cautiously in between the rows of strawberries, all the while being reminded of tragic love stories. They are sinful temptations dangling or lying on the ground, taunting you to pick them but at a certain cost. They urge you to come touch and pluck them from their frail branches even when you already have a basketful and you know it is all you can afford. and they deceive you by pretending to be berries — heck, they’re not even real fruits — and you purchase anything they want to make you believe because, well, they are pretty.

Nevertheless, an affair with strawberries can be highly rewarding.

Simply, the place is called Strawberry Farm. Cradled in a plain in La Trinidad Valley in Benguet, it is located nearly 30 minutes away from Baguio City, which has become practically synonymous with strawberries.

We were cautioned by a local blogger that picking strawberries would be a dirty company at the time. It rained heavily the night before and the gaps between plots would have to be soaked and muddy. We considered his recommendation for a split second, but we still ended up spitting “Ah, f*ck it! We’re going!” We had been looking forward to it because our first step on the Baguio soil that weekend. I had been to this place a number of times before, but it has always thrilled me regardless of the circumstances.

Why go all the trouble of traveling along a non-scenic route to this farm and braving the mud when strawberries are sold at numerous spots in the city proper? The experience of having to pick the strawberries yourselves, of course. You get a small basket, traipse in between plots, and spot ripe fruits along the way. You hold a fruit in your hand and you look at it as if you created it. They just taste better if you put an effort harvesting them.

Like all good things in the world, however, there’s a catch. prices are double at P350 per kilo. Inexperienced pickers can cause a lot of wastage. Besides, numerous of them succumb to having a taste of these fruits even before they baskets get weighed. just look at it this way: the additional fee is for the “experience” itself and not the actual products. After all, it’s not every day that we see strawberry plants — at least not in Manila — so experiences like this are much more of refreshing opportunities than a hassle. It’s a ideal activity for kids!

A visit here isn’t complete without strawberry-picking! That’s what you come here for.
A farmer cultivating strawberry plants
Heart-shaped madness
Aside from strawberries, the other plots in the area are covered in vegetables — cabbage, lettuce and much more — and a few in flowers, which are both abundant in Benguet. If we had the time, we would visit an actual flower farm farther in La Trinidad but we just didn’t have any more. Tragisk!

Lettuce entertain you!
A few rows of flowers amidst plots of strawberries
Jordgubbsglass! better than those we typically have here in the city!
Sundot-kulangot! A type of kalamay, which is a delicacy in Baguio and neighboring towns. strange name, huh?
A lane of souvenir stores border one side of the farm. You’ll find anything strawberry here — strawberry wine, strawberry jam, strawberry crinkles. Roaming around the area are vendors of strawberry taho and strawberry ice cream. All that is missing is a boomblaster playing Strawberry fields forever and you’ll reach the limit of strawberry encounters you are allowed in a lifetime. and oh, there are also Baguio brooms and sweaters sold at many of the stores. Don’t worry, they’re not strawberry-flavored.

How to get to Strawberry Farm: From Baguio City, the fast and easy way is a cab. but that’s wise only if you are a group of at least 3 because you will be splitting the cost. If budget is a problem, make your way to Baguio City Hall and ride a jeepney bound for La Trinidad. Ask the chauffeur to drop you off at Strawberry Farm. Fare is P12.

THE finest communities IN BARCELONA: WHERE TO stay during YOUR see

Posted: 9/28/2021 | September 28th, 2021

Barcelona is one of the most prominent cities in all of Europe. It has medieval neighborhoods, fairytale design (¡hola, Gaudí!), incredible restaurants, world-class art museums, as well as a vibrant city life all hugged up against the azure Mediterranean Sea.

The city has roots that stretch back to the Roman Empire, though it was in the middle Ages (when it was its own country) that it came into its own as an economic powerhouse in the Western Mediterranean.

Today, Barcelona is the funding of the autonomous Catalonia region (which has sought separation from Spain on numerous occasions) as well as is the second most populated city in the country. I have liked the city since I very first visited as a backpacker in 2006. It lived as much as all the expectations I had as well as subsequent sees on endeared the city to me.

With a population of 1.6 million spread out over 10 districts (and 73 neighborhoods), travelers have a great deal of areas to select from that isn’t the Gothic center

To assist you figure out where to stay, in this post, I’ll break each community down as well as provide you suggested locations to stay for every of them.

But, first, I want to quickly response some concerns I often get asked about Barcelona:

What’s the very best community for budget plan travelers?

La Barceloneta features a bounty of bars, restaurants, as well as clubs that line the beach. The Gothic Quarter is likewise one more great area if you want to party, though it’s more touristy.

What’s the very best community for families?
Gràcia is a quiet, pedestrian-friendly part of town that is perfect when you (or your kids) want to get some rest from all that sightseeing.

What’s the very best neighborhood, overall?
The beachy views as well as vibrant environment of La Barceloneta make it my preferred location to stay, though Eixample is a close second!

Hur man reser runt Isaan Thailand

Senast uppdaterad: 05/27/20 | 27 maj 2020

Bangkok – Korat – Nong Kong – Surin – Ubon Ratchathani – Laos – Nong Khai, Khon Kaen – Bangkok

Bangkok – Korat – Nong Kong – Surin – Sisaket – Ubon Ratchathani – Yasothon & Roi et – Sakon Nakhon – Nong Khai – Udon Thani – Khon Kaen – Bangkok

Hur mycket kostar Isaan?

Jämfört med andra delar av Thailand är Isaan mycket billig som vill as rather a bargain, particularly when compared to the other parts of the country.

I averaged around 900 THB ($25 USD) a day. That included only personal rooms, hiring motorbikes to take me around (see points above), as well as drinking a few as well numerous beers with my buddies who online in the region.

Here are some typical prices:

Dorm bed: 100 THB

Private space with bathroom: 300 THB

Bike hire for the day:  300 THB

Short distance train rides: 50 THB

Phimai historical Park: 100 THB

National Park fees: 50-200 THB

Car hire for the day: 1,200 THB

Som tam as well as rice: 40 THB

Soup from a street vendor: 35 THB

A everyday budget plan of $15–25 USD would be plenty for Isaan if you were to stay with dorms spaces (or the occasional inexpensive personal room), street food, as well as buses (or had your own transportation).

If you were hiring drivers, desired much more Western meals, a few much more beers, or only personal spaces with A/C, I would budget plan $25–35 USD per day. For anything higher than that, you’re just costs as well much money for no reason!

***
I desire I had spent much more time in Isaan. I liked it as well as I strongly, strongly motivate you to go there to see what Thailand is like away from the huge traveler market as well as the “banana pancake” path full of backpackers. It’s the most affordable area of Thailand and, to utilize a cliché, the most “authentic.”

Visit it.

FUSHIMI INARI SHRINE: The Thousand Torii Gates of Kyoto, Japan

stone foxes stand guard at essential points throughout the busy shrine as tourists come flooding in. These statues, although inanimate, appear as though they have been viewing over the site. but much more than sentinels, they are messengers, if Shintoism is to be believed. Foxes are typically associated with Inari, a kami (spirit), who is the patron of rice, agriculture, fertility, commerce, and general prosperity. many visitors, however, are not here for the foxes. The crowd practically always goes straight to thousands of vermilion torii gates that create an fancy trail around the shrine.

Orange isn’t really my color, but there was a sudden explosion of delight inside me as soon as I found the first orange torii best after a row of souvenir shops. From here, my eyes wandered and searched for the thousand others, but they found the main gate, also shining in orange, towering across another huge torii. My eyes were relentless. If they had feet, they could have reached the sand dunes in Dubai or tennis resorts Mexico. Hold your tater, I whispered to myself. You’ll see them soon enough. A group of tourists gathering around a fountain stole their attention temporarily.

Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社 or Fushimi Inari Taisha) is the most well-known and many essential Shinto site that is dedicated to Inari in the city of Kyoto, Japan. While the thousand torii gates are the most picturesque parts of the site, they are but trails that connect the shrines and other places of worship. The shrine was built in 711 by one Hata-no-Irogu. According to legend, he was a powerful man, who one day shot an arrow at rice-cake target. To his surprise, the rice cake transformed into a swan and perched on a top of the mountain. Rice began growing at the site, sustaining the community. A shrine was erected as a tribute to the god of rice, Inari. In 816, it was moved to its current location, at the base of the Inariyama hill.

The main tower and the main shrine, built in 1499, are the first to welcome visitors. Behind them are smaller torii gates. known in the vernacular as Senbon Torii (literally “thousands of torii gates), they stand very close to one another, forming what two parallel lanes that result in an inner shrine. Each gate was donated by an organization or individual, whose names you will find inscribed at the back. how numerous people flock here at any given day? Jag har ingen aning. What I know is, it is incredibly challenging to have a picture taken at any point under the arches without having anybody else in the frame. just when I thought the coast was clear and safe for a human-free picture, someone appeared from the other end of the orange tunnel and bombed the photo unintentionally. Or maybe it was just a bad time.

But the domino-like arches aren’t the only things that captivate. The shrine buildings themselves are worth a thousand stares. even the Romon gate at the entrance is arresting, especially after learning that it was given by preeminent daimyo Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1589. Those who have the time and energy are totally free to go farther into the mountain and explore. After a 40-minute trek, the Yotsutsuji Intersection treats visitors to a good view of the city. double the time and the summit greets visitors, although many of them turn around before reaching it as the sights become repetitive and the number of gates dwindle.

Hello there, foxes.
After hours of walking around, I was back under the first torii I spotted. It had been an orange afternoon, a very orange afternoon. and I wasn’t complaining. Inte alls. Not when you’re surrounded by a glowing greatness that comes from somewhere far deeper than its color.

How to get to Fushimi Inari Shrine: From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line and alight at JR Inari Station. It is also available from Fushimi-Inari station of the Keihan main Line. The shrine is just a short, easy walk from either.
